Cooking Back To Basics!
When: April 24-26, 2009

Dear Scouts,
The 2009 Spring Camporee will provide the basic overview and satisfy some of the requirements for the Cooking Merit Badge, Second Class and First Class. The GOAL of this campout is the introduction of the requirements for the cooking merit badge. You will be exposed to cooking activities and games in a safe manner and will have access to merit badge counselors that will help you complete the merit badges requirements at a future date.

Dinner Saturday: Dinner Saturday night will be a potluck style dinner. Each patrol (8 Scouts) will be responsible for preparing a vegetable or pasta dish to share with the other troops present. Each dish should be prepared in no more then 40 min, be served hot, and be able to feed 16 people. Each patrol will bring along the dishes when we gather for the meal. Each side dish should be served in appropriate container, with all serving utensils needed.

The main course of Ham and Turkey will be provided along with salad and drinks. Each troop member will be responsible for bringing a plate, cup, and utensils for their meal.

Allergies (Ham & Turkey) Please make us aware of any participant with an allergy to both Ham and Turkey on the pre-registration form. We will make alternate food accommodations for these individuals.

Senior Patrol March Meetings:  Roundtable 2009 and Friday Night of the Camporee at 9:00 pm. Leader’s This will be are opportunity to address any concerns or issues brought up by the youth leadership of the troop.
